Get the most out of your pilot experience

1. Connect a fitness tracker

Open Aviva Wellbeing and go to settings (the link in top left of the app) > choose ‘Connected trackers’ and select ‘Automatically track your steps’ to sync every step recorded by your smartphone.

The more apps and tracking devices connected, the more features you’ll be able to access, so we recommend:

  • iPhone users also choose to connect the ‘Apple Health’ app
  • Android smartphone users choose to connect the ‘Google Fit’ app
  • Users of wearable trackers (Fitbit, Garmin or Nokia health) or other fitness apps (e.g. Strava, or Runkeeper) connect these too

2. Turn on Aviva Wellbeing notifications*

Check your smartphone notifications are switched on to get regular updates on when the latest content in the app is published

  • Within the Aviva Wellbeing notification centre > click on the settings icon in the top left of the app then choose 'Notifications' > make sure all the notifications are turned on then press 'Save' in the top right corner
  • On an iPhone > From your phone’s home screen select ‘Settings’ > Tap ‘Notifications’ and scroll down to ‘Wellbeing’, then ensure you’ve checked the box to ‘Allow Notifications’
  • On an Android smartphone (e.g. Samsung, Google, LG, Sony) > Go to ‘Settings’ from your phone’s home screen > Choose ‘Application manager’ > Scroll to Wellbeing app > Make sure Notifications are set to ‘Allowed’

*Note: we are testing the success of different types of notifications within this pilot so you may not receive more than you do now, even after changing your settings
